I quite often do castings myself, with 100’s of applicants and simple do not have the time to watch every 3 minute reel.
Peters story is a good example on the front page here. It is very simple, cinematic and effective.
What is he thinking?
Where is he going?
and what happens next?
If you are interested in working together. After the initial email a good way to bounce a few ideas around is via whats app.
We can start a group if there is more than one person. It is very immediate and easy to share images for mood boards and wardrobe ideas.
For example, Persephone and Chris wanted to do a shopping story in New Bond Street so as they could get more lifestyle work. They had the idea that he would give her a gift while out shopping.
After deciding a concept and location we can then pencil in a date.
A shooting will take 2-3 hours. We are not shooting a feature film just yet. One minute at a time. Dusk is always great, or magic hour late afternoon.
We will have a simple story but then be free to improvise. Repeating actions and dialogue from multiple angles so as it can be cut together. I will also be shooting high quality stills at a the same time.
I use the very best 4K broadcast quality Sony equipment with a floating Gimbal. Keeping my style quite fluid and dynamic.
The editing process will take a week for completion. I will only shoot one or two projects at a time so as I do not have a back log of editing.
The final cut will be provided to you in compressed 4K and mobile phone format for social media use. Clips are sent via whats app and also with “We Transfer” where the still images and the films can be downloaded. I will also give you the link to my the youtube version.

I ask everyone that does a shooting if they can sign a consent from. For example when you upload pictures and video to instagram you are also signing a consent form through their terms and conditions. If you do not wish to pay the full fee’s I have listed. Then for a discount I would like to send the content to the Getty images Library.
Pooling resources and idea’s is great.
The first shooting I did with Johnny who is a dancer was with him running. He mentioned he did rollerblading so this led us to the next shooting with the dynamic dolly tracking shots.
Lou Mussington was initially commissioned for a Job and we made these reels. The 2nd reel is 1 minute 30 seconds because she was amazingly professional and carried the story through with her improvisation. The first reel is super short.
The actor Aswad asked me for the unedited clips. As he wanted to commission another editor from the web site Fiver. I was happy to do this in 1080p with the understanding that the copyright of the footage remains with me. The Peaky Blinders concept was his and we improvised to make it fun and edgy. He purchased all the clothes from M&S with his co actor and then returned them.
Joy Foga came up with both her concepts and we improvised around them. Her acting is amazing. Very natural. I think the film with Sheila has a wonderful soundtrack also.
Angela was initially commissioned for a stills photography job and wanted to make a presenting reel, so we did.
This is something I am keen to do more off. Let me know if this is something you would like to do.
Paolo is a dancer. I would be interested to elaborate on concepts like this with more people.
I am also interested in making fashion reels If this is something you would like to do I have some ideas.
